I’m new to Brave (switched just a few hours ago) and I don’t know how exactly it works. Apparently, the browser blocks site tracking etc. I’ve already encountered that bug when you can’t skip an ad on YouTube. So I decided that it’s finally time to switch to YouTube Premium.
I really want to support the creators I watch, so I was just wondering if there won’t be a problem with YouTube not being able to recognise who’s videos I’m watching and therefore not being able to pay them their revenue.
That’s why I got YouTube Premium. It’s a subscription based, ad-free youtube and the creators I watch should simply get paid by YouTube because I watch their videos, ad-free. I’m just not sure whether brave actually blocks the communication between me and YouTube Premium, therefore the creators won’t get paid.
I’m running MacOS Mojave and Brave Version 0.66.100 Chromium: 75.0.3770.142 (Official Build) (64-bit)
Oh, got it. I guess it’s just really late and I’m tired haha. I’ve just realised that I can just turn off YouTube specific shields. Thank you so much haha.
