@Macuilxochiti Interesting find. I suppose it might’ve been added from the side of Opera, though I’m not sure.
I do personally agree that links entered in URL bar should open in the app, or at least give us an option to do so.

Or maybe it might be a bug, which is quite unlikely.
@289wk Do you know if it’s the expected behaviour on Chromium on Android?
Re only the issue of “Set as Default Browser”
NOT using Private Browser / Private Windows . . .
Toggle the “Set as Default Browser” setting - switch between a couple Internet browsers on your Android device.
After you make changes to BB settings, do a complete Exit / Quit of Brave Browser . . . followed by a complete “forced” Restart of the Android device:
Android - closing apps:

Android - complete “forced” restart:
Test the “Set as Default Browser” issue.
@289wk Done. Unfortunately, it doesn’t work.
The OP - @Macuilxochitl - has tried several times, to set Brave Browser as the default Internet browser for an Xiamoi mobile device:
Device: Xiaomi 14T (degas)
OS: Xiaomi HyperOS 2.0.102.0.VNEMIXM
Android version: 15
Build ID: AP3A.240905.015.A2Brave browser version: 1.77.101
Chromium version: 135.0.7049.115
. . . without success; reporting in the OP:
“Even [when] I set it as default in the settings app, it’s still not set as default, and the
Set as Default Browser
is always showing in three dots menu.”
