Brave ads not showing up -- tried many troubleshooting steps already

Description of the issue: Fresh install of Brave browser not showing any ads despite trying all the troubleshooting steps described in:

How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. Install Brave.
  2. Go through troubleshooting steps suggested in the above links.

Expected result:
Ads showing in Windows notifications.

Brave Version( check About Brave): V1.21.77

Additional Information: I’m running Windows 10 and I’ve successfully tested the HTML5 browser notification test in: https://www.bennish.net/web-notifications.html to see if Brave can produce notifications (it can). Yet somehow I still do not receive any ads after spending hours troubleshooting the problem through the resources linked above. I’ve been using Brave for a few days now and I haven’t seen one ad yet.

I am experiencing the same issue. I believe there is an issue with 1.21.77 because I started having issues when I updated to that version. Support is silent on it though.
