When I click on the bookmarks it doesn’t offer the drop down feature. This has happened in the past but I found that there was an update to Brave. Today, Brave is up to date and still no drop down menu.

It has happened before but I have found that there was a Brave update. This last time it said Brave was up to date. I switched to firefox & duckduckgo temporarily. Today I checked back with Brave and there was as update, now it’s working again.
That’s good to know. If you encounter this issue again please try to update the browser and relaunch it. If that does not work you can reply back on this post or create a new one.
Regards.
Again, the bookmark drop down menu isn’t working. There aren’t any brave updates so there isn’t a way to relaunch. I’ll use firefox for a while & check back periodically until there is a brave update.
I’m still using Firefox because as of today, there aren’t any Brave updates and I DON’T have a working drop downmark menu.
Hi again, Could you please try opening your main profile in private or guest mode to see if the dropdown menu for your bookmarks works? If it works, try disabling your extensions to see if this is the cause of the issue.
You can open a Guest Window by going to Main menu --> Open Guest window:
- On your computer, open Brave.
- At the top right, click
Menu → More tools → Extensions.
- On to the extension you want to remove, click Remove.
- Confirm by clicking Remove.
Let me know if that works.
Regards.
I was going to look for extensions to remove but I don’t have any extensions running. But, this afternoon there was a Brave update and therefore I was then able to relaunch and now my bookmarks are working again. Every time that my bookmarks fail, there is typically an update and a relaunch available and that fixes the issue. Twice now, the update has been available 24+ hours after I have the bookmark failure.
@oreo1 On that case, please double check if any update is available for installing if you encounter this same issue again, and if that does not work, please let us know.
Regards.
Kevin cc, that is what I do each and every time the problem occurs. I first check for an update. But twice now, there wasn’t any update and I then switch back to using Firefox. I check back periodically to see if there is an update. I let Brave know when the dropdown menu stops working and no update is presently available.
