Description of the issue:
With “Block 3rd Party Cookies”, I still end up with lots of third party cookies (e.g. without directly browsing any of these domains: accounts[dot]google[dot]com, crazyegg[dot]com, addthis[dot]com, etc.). I wanted to try to specifically block these domains. The interface for this isn’t clear, but regardless of what I try, cookies from all 3rd parties are not being blocked.
I would expect adding google.com and [*.] to the block list would block all google domains but Brave is still allowing accounts[dot]google[dot]com cookies.
Steps to Reproduce (add as many as necessary): 1. 2. 3.
- Clear all cookies.
- Add entries for blocking cookies from google (see screenshot)
- Configure shields to block 3rd party cookies.
- Browse to various sites that use google analytics (not google[dot]com or gmail[dot]com directly).
- Find accounts[dot]google[dot]com cookie.
Actual Result (gifs and screenshots are welcome!):
Expected result:
No cookies from google.com
Reproduces how often:
100%
