If I have a site open and follow another link, sometimes Brave over writes the current tab, sometimes it creates a new tab and opens the link there. What determines which way Brave will react? Do I have control over this? If I had my druthers, the second scenario would be preferable.

If you hold ctrl while clicking on links it will always open in a new tab in the background.
If you hold ctrl and shift, it will open in a new tab and jump you to that tab.
