I don’t know this happened because it did not went through yet or it’s an error
For referral program, Brave only pay for “Confirmed” referral. “Confirmed” mean that new users who download Brave using your referral link already use it for ±30 days.

Means the referred users have to use the browser 30 days, that’s not the nice deal.
