Please add this to MacOS as well. I’m all for having it held in my uphold wallet, but it has since stopped transferring and I’m hoping an install/reinstall will fix it. However, I’d need that backup key.
The problem has only 2 solutions, either increase the connection limit in uphold or provide the backup feature.
@Mattches Is brave bringing the wallet backup feature back in next major update???

They are working on their own Wallet so hope to see a backup option there or no requirement for minimum bats!

Backup would be nice.
Their own wallet you cannot transfer rewards directly you need uphold to transfer reward from brave browser after you can send to brave wallet
Uphold requires KYC, just as Binance and Coinbase does. Inability to link is reserved for those who don’t wanna complete it and want to stay - anonymous?
My Brave ↔Uphold withdrawal (and therefore, backup) works just fine.
Know your client/customer is an obligation, anti- money laundering practice. I accept it.

I have lost my BATs so many times. I earned BATs by watching ads in the past, than reinstalled my browser, reset my phone to factory setting or I changed my phone and I lost all my BATs. Now I turned of Brave rewards completely.

one year later, here we are.
Backup wallet and the verification for uphold etc on top would be great. So you can actually reinstall windows etc without getting gated by the ridiculous 4 device limit which cant be reset.

I think backing up rewards wallet would be automatically available as and when rewards are integrated with Brave Crypto Wallet and backing up would be possible with private keys of Brave Crypto Wallet.
I don’t know whether restoring same Crypto wallet and integrating it with Brave Rewards on different browser would be possible. This would be a great feature. Although funds would be safe just by backing up, nevertheless.
I vote to it feature. We need backup. Now wallet integrated into Brave, but we still cannot use it for getting rewards… I do not understand this decision. We can use local wallets address(0x) as a storage for rewards, add this function plz.
There is a project in progress on GitHub for backing up Brave Rewards wallet. No idea how close to completion it is.

Rewards backup is coming. The way they are doing it is actually moving Rewards over to Brave Wallet. They are hoping to finish things in development at the end of this year and then to release it to everyone in the first quarter of 2023. By it being on the Wallet, then Rewards will be saved so long as we keep hold of our seed phrase.

For anyone who might have been confused by the title of this topic, speaking about Brave Wallet. In today’s conversation on the Community Call where the Wallet dev team participated, they did say that they will be introducing a Sync option with Wallet in 2023. This might be more towards the end of 2023, but it will be coming.
