Automatically Enabled Auto-Contribute Without My Permission

Hello,

I have Brave rewards enabled on one of my machines, and just a few minutes ago, I noticed an auto-contribute amount of 20BAT was sent out to some random links, notably, google, and some Youtube accounts.

Never have I enabled auto-contribute, nor did I set up the contributions to go to the links set up in the auto-contribution section. The fact that this was done without my knowledge, and most notably, without my consent, is quite frustrating.

I have just removed the random links from my auto-contribution section, as well as disabling the auto-contribution feature; however, it doesn’t change from the fact that 20BAT was removed without my permission.

Is there any way to revert this transfer, so that the 20BAT is not taken out of my account. Has anybody else also faced this issue? Has this issue been solved for you?

Thank you for reporting! Please DM with the following information:

  • Copy/paste your Wallet ID (found on brave://rewards-internals)
  • Your OS and Brave version (first three lines in brave://version)
  • A screenshot of your Rewards panel in Settings --> Brave Rewards.
