Audio being played on speakers even when headphones are plugged in

Description of the issue:
My brave browser is playing the audio on speakers even when headphones or earphones are plugged in. this problem does not occur when i use chrome or microsoft edge. i tried re installing brave twice but nothing worked.

Version 1.38.117 Chromium: 101.0.4951.67 (Official Build) (64-bit)
