Assign each bookmark a keyword/shortcut

In Firefox I can assign each bookmark a keyword. When I enter that keyword into the address bar and press ENTER Firefox opens the corresponding bookmark. I use these keywords to quickly hop to different pages like Gmail (gm), Google Calendar (gc), and GitHub repos (fd, ld, and hk all open specific repos I use a lot).

As far as I can tell, this feature doesn’t exist in Brave (or any chromium-based browser). It’d be super nice to have – although I completely understand that this is a niche request.

This is a work-around hack that doesn’t sync with your bookmarks, but at least on Chrome and Brave, you can use a custom Site search shortcut.
Go to:
Settings > Search Engine > Site search >> (Add)
Fill “URL with %s in place of query” in the Pop-up Dialog without any %s for a simple shortcut.

Oh nice, this is a useful workaround! Achieves the same goal at the very least.
