I just installed Brave from playstore. Anything I download from Brave goes to internal storage/ Android/ data/ com.brave.browser/ files/ downloads.
And I can’t change the download folder to somewhere else.

Go to settings then, go to DOWNLOADS option at the bottom and select, “ask where to save files”, this way you can select the path where files will be saved.
No you can’t. You only get two options, the folder OP mentioned and the download folder on the phone itself.
Yes, the file gets downloaded but I get the text “download error” on the notification after it’s finished and I can’t open it from the notification.
