I think that generally Google AMP is not a good thing for the open web[0][1], usually links to these sites come with a way to redirect to the real URL. Would you consider an extension or shield setting that removes AMP from our lives?

There is an open Github issue, but unfortunately no progress in introducing a way to block AMP as of the moment.

Disable Google's AMP webpages as it also another form of tracking.

- Install Type(ARM, x86): All
- Device(Phone, Tablet, Phablet): All
- Android Version: Every supported version of brave.
**Brave Version:**
1.0.60
**Steps to reproduce:**
1.Search on Google
2.The search results offer AMP pages instead of the regular webpages.
**Actual Behavior**
Google search serves AMP pages
**Expected Behavior**
AMP pages should be skipped and users must directly be taken to the actual webpage.

Yes.

Issue was opened about a year ago and there has been no improvement in this area.
