Is it ok to use adblockers alongside the Brave Adblocker? I’m mainly wanting to use uBlock.
Its fine. Ubo will work well in Brave
Go to brave://adblock/
Add these lists:
https://github.com/uBlockOrigin/uAssets/blob/master/filters/annoyances.txt
https://github.com/uBlockOrigin/uAssets/blob/master/filters/badware.txt
https://github.com/uBlockOrigin/uAssets/blob/master/filters/filters.txt
(and so on… for some reason these count as links and I’m cut off at four)
Boom. Ublock origin now inside brave, without the extension required!
I’m new to brave so do I just add the URL above or do I need to download the files and copy/paste the contents?
These options won’t work, brave://adblock/ is for filters (not filter lists). On a side note, we’ll have improve ubo compatibility in the future to take care of compatibility issues
