First and foremost - Brave is awesome, and this is the only reason I am sitting right now and typing all this.
But there are lots of problems with background images on the new tab page:
-
I like Brave images, but it looks like you guys just have an array of them and not just constantly loading the next index, but, sadly, resetting it on browser restarts. I don’t believe there is anybody who isn’t sick and tired of looking at that lava or whatever is depicted on the first image. If, for some reason, it’s impossible to update these images often, then, please, at least randomize this list - make the opening of the new tab load not the next index from that array, but a random one.

Solid colors. Why are they all so heavy? Please, add some pastel colors!

I tried setting my own image as background, and I have a very light colored, almost white abstraction, and, I’m afraid, you already know how it went. That horrible dark gradient simply destroyed it! Whose brilliant idea was to add it? Yes, if you have a bright and colorful image, then this gradient is almost invisible, but if your image is as light colored as mine then this gradient just kills it! Is it possible to get rid of this gradient somehow?
What other options does a user have? Blank page? Well, when this is the best option, then you know that something is definitely not right…
Love you, guys. Well, not “love you”, but you know I mean
