Audio continues to play from a video or audio tab after tab is closed on iOS - iPhone and iPad. Same problem. Audio plays long after tab is closed. Have to completely swipe up Brave to make it stop. iOS 18.3.2 on iPad Air 5th gen

I posted about the same problem (along with others) but @289wk, this is an iOS problem, you cannot install extensions on iOS/iPadOS.

My December 2024 report of “an audio ghost” - at, what I considered a possibly related issue:

Youtube links opened in background tabs start autoplaying despite autoplay being off - #7 by 289wk

Recently, there has been debate about, what audio should, or should not, persist in the background . . . and I tried to find that Brave Community post, but did not find that overnight.

Some Brave Browser users want to visit a website that plays music, select a tune, then visit other websites or use other apps, while still listening to the music - AND have that music continue to play, to persist, even though they have closed / exited / quit Brave Browser.

Same issue happens with twitter too.

Problem is still happening ipados 18.4 ipad 8th generation Brave version 1.76(77). Annoying me a lot. Please fix this

So, let me get this straight. Brave, who’s selling point is privacy, can’t get into the OSS code and, oh, I dunno, fix the damn problem? Enough users are complaining about this for a while that it should’ve been fixed with the release of Brave 1.77. This bug should not be persisting for this long, nor should users be having to find a work around and trying random extensions. Dev Team, fire the script kiddies and FIX THIS.
