Brave (at this time) masquerades as chrome by sending the Chrome user agent – we have plans to implement our own user agent in future releases as well as the option to customize your user agent string while browsing:
Additionally, Chromium updates between Brave and Chrome should be equivilent or perhaps one bump behind from time to time:
