White "fog" over website pages - Use hardware acceleration when available

Description of the issue:
How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. A white “fog” covers the pages of the website. I turned off “Use hardware acceleration when available” - upon relaunch it cleared up the white fog; however, when I moved to a different page of the website, the fog immediately returned.

  2. Now when I turn “Use hardware acceleration when available” off and on it is hit or miss if it clears up the “fog”. Even when it does clear as soon as move to a different page of the website the “fog” returns.

  3. All my operating systems are up to date - Windows 10. I reproduce this issue daily when I log into the website.

Expected result:
I am asking for someone to review the “Use hardware acceleration when available” feature - i seems even when turned off it or part of it is active? Not really sure why the “fog” would reappear on its own.

Brave Version( check About Brave):
Version 1.17.73 Chromium: 87.0.4280.67 (Official Build) (64-bit)

Additional Information:

Hello @DJS

does this fog show up on all sites or certain one ?

could you go to menu then create new profile just for testing then see if the fog show up there also or not?

hope that help and have a nice day :slight_smile:

Hi - thank you for responding. It appears to be only one website.

I had actually deleted my profile and created a new one per the website developer’s suggestion (of the particular website). It did not change the “fog”. That’s when I trued the “Use hardware acceleration when available” feature - it seems to be this since it will go away sporadically. I just do not know how I can get it to remain gone.

Thank you.

you very welcome

could you share the link to that site ?
