What is DemDex.net? Can I delete this cookie?

What is DemDex.net? Can I delete it from the list of cookies that shows up under the padlock icon to the left of the URL, under cookies, when I visit a website? Remove it or block it? A web search says DemDex.net is some sort of legacy Adobe website. If I block this cookie will websites quit working? Thank you!

Removing cookies won’t do anything to the website. So you can clear it.
