Webpages don't load properly anymore- Looking for a Java or Javascript

Most webpages do not work all of a sudden on Windows(youtube doesn’t display videos others get hung up saying that Bravo needs Java(script) to work. I recently was cued by Bitdefender to update a Java file that may have been a bit old but perhaps I changed a permission as well? Chrome works luckily but like the Brave option if at possible. I am on .112 version so wonder if I could try uninstalling and install a new version or something with my permissions. Many thanks to anyone who can help.
