Watch2Gether not working in brave

i am now trying since 2 hours to get watch2gether working but cant. The websocket always fails to connect i always get: ERR_DISALLOWED_URL_SCHEME.

i tried turning off the fingerprint and cookieblocker + cleared cookies,
i already disabled all my other extensions,
and i tried to allow insecure connections.

nothing worked and on firefox w2g works perfectly fine.

To reproduce just try to join a lobby in w2g.

Expected result:

Just tested with a work colleague, he joined a room I created.

  1. Playback was fine
  2. Was able to mute, skip and change
  3. New user was able to do the same.

I would try a new Brave profile, and/or private window mode as a first step
