Description of the issue:
I added a custom asset to my wallet for Immutable X on the ethereum mainnet.
It shows the proper amount I bought but displays the incorrect price. It looks like there are two IMX coins on coingecko:
View Immutable X crypto price and chart live, IMX market cap, 24-hour trading volume, circulating supply, latest news and more.
View Impermax crypto price and chart live, IMX market cap, 24-hour trading volume, circulating supply, latest news and more.
The one I bought is the former and you are displaying the price for the latter. If you look at my wallet you can see that I did purchase the coin I’m referring to:
The Address 0x9061fA612e4B3A0013A1E8418465f69Fb0D6E36C page allows users to view transactions, balances, token holdings and transfers of ERC-20, ERC-721 and ERC-1155 (NFT) tokens, and analytics.
Are you using the (new) [Brave Wallet]:
Using the New wallet system with it preferred over extensions
How can this issue be reproduced?
Add the custom asset. I’ve added and removed many times before alerting you.
Brave Version (check About Brave):
Version 1.32.106 Chromium: 96.0.4664.45 (Official Build) (64-bit)
Click Visible Assets button > add custom asset hyperlink.
If I add the Impermax contract I don’t see any amount or price. This is good.
On the contrary if I enter the Immutable X contract I see an amount and price. The correct amount, but the price and graph follow Impermax.

Same thing here with a token named Behodler with symbol EYE (0x155ff1a85f440ee0a382ea949f24ce4e0b751c65) being mistaken for another token named MeDIA eYe (0x9a257c90fa239fba07771ef7da2d554d148c2e89) with the same symbol on coingecko.
We’re looking at doing lookups by contract address when on Ethereum soon to fix this.

We now lookup by contract address for Ethereum assets so this should be working now.
