When adding Aave custom tokens, the wallet doesn’t seem to show that any balance is held. For example, here is the aEthUSDT contract:
When adding a custom token with that address, Brave correctly picks up the aEthUSDT token and precision, but displays a 0 balance even though I can see on etherscan that my account has the token.
I tried again with aEthUSDC, which Brave also correctly adds as a token but shows 0 balance even though I can see it on etherscan.
Other custom tokens seem to work fine, It’s only Aave supply tokens that seem to always be 0.
No problem. Here’s a screenshot from the wallet token details. And the token address is 0x23878914EFE38d27C4D67Ab83ed1b93A74D4086a - It’s also linked in the OP post on etherscan if needed.
One additional note is I’ve tried different capitalizations of the address and it doesn’t seem to make a difference. If I clear all the fields, and repaste the address, it correctly refills in the token name/precision/symbol and ID, so I’m confident the address is correct.
Yeah it doesn’t show in either. Also, if I click on the account itself to go to the account overview, it doesn’t list the token underneath “Assets” tab of the account view either.
I’ve verified now that It’s only Brave, I can see the balance in all of:
Ledger Live
Metamask
Rabby
Phantom
So It’s only Brave misbehaving.
I’ve additionally tried a fresh install of Brave, restarting the browser before and after adding tokens, and trying to do a new supply on Aave only after adding to brave. No success.
I also had a go at using the inspector in the expanded wallet view to see if I could spot if for some reason the network request doesn’t happen, but it seems external requests aren’t visible in the Networking tab in chrome:// windows so I’m not sure how to go about figuring it out unfortunately.
