Are you wanting to block autoplay for all sites? If so you can do this in Settings --> Site settings --> Autoplay.
I wish brave Shield support to remove autoplay video
It kind of does, but you’d break a lot of other things too. If you turn on Block Scripts then no videos will play. Yet it also can disable other functions of sites.
Otherwise the option is where Mattches mentioned, which is inside normal settings. You go there and set it not to autoplay videos. It’s really that kind of simple. At least hearing you saying you wish it would be part of Shields, but I just don’t think it would make enough since to be a setting there since those videos often aren’t ads or trackers. Shields is only there to stop ads and trackers.
