Unable to check for update

I am getting the following: An error occurred while checking for updates: Update check failed to start (error code 3: [0x80040154]. Has anyone else had this error? Thank you for any input.

I often get that error code whenever I have problems with my internet connection. Try again in a few minutes.


@TeotiX is correct – try and initiate the update again shortly and it should be find, likely just a blip.

If not, you can always re-download/run the application installer again – if a Brave installation is already detected, the installer will simply fetch and apply the latest update files.
