TikTok website laggy on Brave

I am having issues with TikTok website using Brave.

I have the latest version of the browser - Version 1.67.134 Chromium: 126.0.6478.186

I scroll down a couple of videos on my FYP, and it starts to lag. so much so that I end up closing the tab and opening a new one.
I can then scroll down a few before it does it again.

By lag I mean the video will lag before it plays, comments will take a while to load and you can’t pause quickly as it is lagging. If you scroll to another video, it takes a while to do that as it is still lagging.
It makes it unwatchable on Brave as it is so bad.

Same with or without shield.
Same with or without graphics acceleration enabled.
I have cleared cookies & cache etc, but it still does it on Brave.

I have to use edge instead for TikTok as it is so bad on Brave.
It is perfectly fine on Edge.

Another TikTok bug
Also another issue on TikTok on pc with shield up, is that the videos continue to play in the background when you change tab. They shouldn’t. Shield down and it doesn’t play when you change tabs, which is correct.
That is unrelated to this issue but is another bug.

Would always keep HW acceleration enabled, disabling will cause lag. Would check in a new Brave profile/or test in Brave Beta (which uses a seperate profile).

yes I do, but I tried with and without as I mentioned to see if it was that.
It wasn’t that.

What about a different profile? also check ≡ → More Tools → Task Manger to see the CPU use on tabs. If its laggy, I would expect high numbers here. Ensure HW Acceleration is enabled too.
