The youtube video quality is being chaged every few seconds and usually to lower quality

Description of the issue:
When I am on youtube.com and am watching a video, the browser changes the video quality from HD to 720p or even lower (on automatic mode). It occasionally changes back to HD. I have a decent computer (CPU: i7-10875H and GPU: NVIDIA GeForce rtx 2060 ) and internet (over 100mbps download and upload speed), so I am sure my device can easily handle higher resolutions up to 8k. When I manually select HD on the video quality, it displays the video without any issues. The question then is why, in auto mode, it flips around different qualities and why does it lower one?

How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. go to youtube.com
  2. play any video

Expected result:
It should play the video on high resolutions, if you have strong pc with strong internet (specially when your native monitor resolution is 4k)
Brave Version( check About Brave):

Version 1.33.106 Chromium: 96.0.4664.110 (Official Build) (64-bit)

Additional Information:

Same issue, made an account just to comment. I keep having to manually set my quality to 1440p 60. Auto just keeps downgrading the quality.

I also have a pretty decent computer (Ryzen 9 3900x, 32gb 3200 RAM, AMD Radeon 5700 GPU) and internet (1.5GB Fiber).

Hope this gets resolved, I thought I could live with it, but it’s happens all the time, and I watch a lot of YouTube.

Thanks in advance.
