The search results on my phone are showing in the language of my current region but not the one in my display setting

Troubleshooting technical issues is much easier when both the user and support agent practice clear communication. For this reason, we have provided the template below for you to fill out with information about your issue. Please provide as much detail as possible so we can most efficiently resolve your problem.

Description of the issue:
I reside in the US and I have Brave search set up as the search engine on my Android phone (Google Pixel Pro 9). My display setting is set to English. I am traveling right now and am currently in France. My Display Language is still set to English. However, the search results are showing in French.

Brave Version (check About Brave):

Operating System: android

@knittingguy the display language is speaking about the settings and buttons on Brave Search, not for the content of websites. The results are going to be the actual language of the website itself as is appropriate for the region.

For example:

Those above for the language, but all results would be in English because the most relevant results would be in English due to my region. But if I set display language to English, then it shows as such:

If you want to filter based on language, you’ll need to use Search Operators.

For example, your search term would have been: krypton lang=en for it to know to load only English results. Or if wanted in Spanish, it would be krypton lang=es, just for a random example.

Without those operators/filters, it just will purely load whatever is most relevant to you based on your location. Again, the display language is only for the buttons and things directly related to Brave Search and not any results.
