Texr in the address bar changes from white to blue when highlighted - can't see it

Description of the issue:

Ive just started using Brave and like it so far, except for a few things.
One is that the text in the address bar while white and easy to see after typing, it becomes dark blue when its highlighted. With the background being black, this makes the text almost impossible to read.
So who designed such a setup?

The same goes for the download list at the bottom of the browser window.

How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. Just type an address in the address bar. Move mouse away, then click anywhere inside the typed in text
  2. On the download list, hover the mouse pointer over the filename downloaded.
  3. Make a cup of tea or coffee and then ponder the mind of the person or “team” responsible for creating this silly situation, for no reason and who continually wastes countless people’s time who are seeking a solution.

Expected result:
as above
