Unpredictable selected text colour in address bar?

Description of the issue: Selected text in the address bar is sometimes unexpectedly highlighted using purple instead of the normal blue highlighting that selected text ordinarily has.
How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. Highlight text in the address bar, check it’s colour. (Issue seems to occur randomly / intermittently for no clear reason, which is extremely frustrating).

Expected result: Selected text should be highlighted in the normal blue colour.

Brave Version( check About Brave): Version 1.2.40 Chromium: 79.0.3945.88 (Official Build) (64-bit)

Additional Information: Using Windows 10 Pro.

Do you have any extensions enabled?
Does this happen multiple times a day?

Also, your Brave is outdated @KikiLamb. The latest version is 1.5.x.

Go to Menu > Settings > About Brave to manually trigger the update.
