Description of the issue: Since I updated Brave today (I use the beta version), the tabs no longer align to the top of the screen!
This is horrible, since it makes it 10 times harder to click on them, but I’m sure it’s a bug and not a design decision.
As you can see on the screenshot, the text isn’t properly aligned in the box, and the box is actually a few pixels too low compared to the height of the window.
Expected result: It should be correctly aligned, and the hitbox should go to the top of the window.
Brave Version( check About Brave): Version 1.68.110 Chromium: 127.0.6533.26
Same issue. I still don’t get why they insist on using buttons that aren’t connected to the page as a default design. It looks stupid, has a worse UX and even uses more space. I see absolutely no benefit in the new design. There’s a reason it’s called tabs, and not buttons.
There is a loss of 8 pixels height (boring to change all detection scripts and automations at each update).
Those ui change MUST NOT be forced, let people choose the ui they need please …
In my case there is also small window border/padding so now I’m not able to click the scroll bar by moving my mouse to the edge of the screen, without looking at it. Really annoying.
Look at how misaligned and off-center the text is. And with the pointer at the top of the screen, it does not click the second tab. It is ridiculous and unusable.
Twenty years using numerous browsers, I have never seen a substantial visual update that did not make the appearance worse. Why do I have to search for how to revert changes whenever there is an update to my software? Why do we have to live like this? Is it not possible to keep the option for people who never ever want to see changes to the ui?
