Syncing imported Chrome Bookmarks problem

Description of the issue:
I have to use Chrome at work but prefer Brave on other devices, I’d like a method of syncing Chrome bookmarks Brave running on those other devices

Steps to Reproduce (add as many as necessary): 1. 2. 3.
So, periodically I’d like to export Chrome Bookmarks and then -

  1. import them into Brave which merges only the changes across all devices
    OR
  2. delete all bookmarks in Brave import Chrome bookmarks which deletes them on the devices before syncing the lot

Actual Result (gifs and screenshots are welcome!):

  1. appends them so every bookmark is duplicated
  2. they’re not deleted on other devices, they’re just appended with duplicates as well

Expected result:
bookmarks across all my devices are in the same and synced both ways

Reproduces how often:
every time

Operating System and Brave Version(See the About Brave page in the main menu):
Mac OS 10.14.5 running Brave 0.67.125
Ubuntu 18.04 running Brave 0.67.125
Once I can successfully sync these I intend to sync to another Mac and 2 android devices

Additional Information:

UPDATE1: about an hour later the dups are gone and everything looks in sync - any ideas?

UPDATE2: BUT checking again, some have been deleted

I guess I’m in the wrong section or haven’t explained the problem very well, was hoping to switch to Brave 100% outside work but until this is resolved, I can’t - will look on other boards to see if better placed there
