Why are you trying to force me to use a feature that I do not want to use? I used to be able to synch my favs across W10, Linux and Android, but I was forced to change the android device and now it tries to force me to lock my screen. I do not want, do not need to do that. I want my phone to be free in case of an emergency. If someone want to have that, let them, I do not care, but do it an optional feature…

@rsnunez,
Can you please elaborate on what the issue you’re referring to is? What feature are you being forced to use? Why can you no longer sync your favorites/data across your devices?
@Mattches I think they are referencing the idea of how sync requires an OS password for sync to work or for passwords due to how the encryption works. So if a person doesn’t have a lock screen or password set on their device, it won’t sync info across. At least is how it was at one point. Pretty sure it’s the same but haven’t paid attention lately.
They are saying should be able to sync everything even if their device has no password or lock screen.
To be clear, this is only the case for Syncing password data as that is the only data that is specifically encrypted based on your system password. No system password = no encryption = no sync.
So the way around this is to either disable the password data type or add a system password/lock screen on your device (which you should have anyway).
