Sync Chain Stopped Working and Unable to Exit the Chain

Description of the issue:
I have Sync setup on my desktop, laptop, and mobile phone. Sync stopped working one week ago and the sync chain on my desktop shows my other devices have not been active even though they are online every day.

I tried to remove my devices from the sync chain using my desktop computer, but clicking the Remove ‘x’ does not do anything. The devices are still listed.

I was able to remove my phone from the sync chain by using my phone. I pull up the sync code on my desktop, enter it on my phone, and then my phone shows it is in its own sync chain.

Nothing is consistent. How do I remove all devices and start fresh?

Steps to Reproduce (add as many as necessary): 1. 2. 3.

  1. Open Brave.

Reproduces how often:

Constant

Brave Version(See the About Brave page in the main menu):

1.22.70 Chromium: 89.0.4389.105 (Official Build) (64-bit)

Type of devices currently running on the Sync chain in question:

These steps fixed it for ONE DAY.

  1. Disconnect all the devices you can from the sync chain.
  2. Uninstall Brave from the primary impacted device.
  3. Setup new sync chain for non-impacted devices.
  4. Reinstall Brave on the impacted device.
  5. Add impacted device to new sync chain.

Now my desktop PC stopped syncing. It shows a “last active” date of yesterday.

how can I know what is the primary impacted device? I don’t remember.
