Switch to next/previous tab

Brave version 1.25.70 Chromium: 91.0.4472.77 (Offizieller Build) (x86_64)
macOS version 11.4 (20F71)

I’ve read along Brave shortcuts:

Jump to next/previous-open-tab–shortcut results in a switch to the last or recent VIEWED tab and NOT to the next or previous tab, like it’s suggested.

I like to switch to the next or previous open tab by shortcut, how to do that?

do you have enabled the option “Cycle through the most recently used tabs with Ctrl-Tab” ?
maybe this option affects the shortcuts too.

@tortino maybe I’m blind, but I don’t find the mentioned option.

Some time earlier ctrl-tab or ctrl+shift-tab were the shortcuts to go forward or backwards through open tabs. Yes, I’ve tried that before.

But even if I use ctrl+tab before using command+option+left/right-arrows the tabs are cycled by recently viewed and not next or previous tab.

maybe on mac that option is not present.
on windows 10 it’s here:

@tortino that’s it, thank you! I’ve searched for that setting earlier, maybe with the wrong words. With your suggestion I found that setting also on macOS and after disabling that it works as expected. Also with ctrl+tab and ctrl+shift+tab.

and why the posts on this forum must have at least 20 characters?

No idea. Maybe to prevent from spam?

Thanks for helping me out!
