Subtitles in video overlap on X (Twitter)

Description of the issue:
Subtitle overlaps the previous subtitle.

How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. Go to https://twitter.com/bennyjohnson/status/1783129693580927047
  2. Turn the CC icon on.
  3. Play the video.

Safari browser does not exhibit this problem.

Expected result:
Subtitles should not overlap previous subtitle.

Brave Version( check About Brave):
1.64.122

This appears to be a Chromium issue ā€” seeing the same behavior in other Chromium based browsers. Going to check and see if this is logged on monorail.

https://issues.chromium.org/issues/332564993
But Iā€™m not sure.

Either way, we will likely have to wait for an upstream fix for this.
