Something being blocked on website..Not through shields?

Using Wordpress on my website when on website doesn’t have wordpress bar for easy editing but if done on chrome it does

Exact URL of the website in question:

no

Does the site function as expected when Shields are turned off? no, have tried turning off/on and no change

Is there a specific Shields configuration that causes the site to break? If so, tell us that configuration. (yes/no): unsure

Does the site work as expected when using Chrome? yeah

Brave version 1.27.108

Hey @Justin.A ! Welcome to the community :slight_smile:

Can you provide a screenshot of the issue in Brave and a screenshot of what is expected from Chrome?

Thank you!

Porridge

Hope this helps

@Justin.A,
Does the WP bar show on the site if you disable Shields (lion icon in the address bar)?

no change have disabled for site and entirely and started browser again. still nothing.

@Justin.A,
Testing using my own WP account, I can see that bar appear on my end. Something must be afoot on your end. Can you try testing this in a Private browsing window and see if it makes any difference?

i have tried and IT WORKS! :slight_smile: so what does that mean? Thanks at least i can use private browser at the moment :slight_smile: :grinning:

This likely means that you have an extension installed that caused the issues, can you try disabling extensions and trying in a non private window?

Porridge

that hasn’t seemed to have made any changes…at least i think i did what you asked…i went to the extensions in settings and turned all the oranges bars grey

@Justin.A,
I would recommend clearing cache/site data for your site, then test to see if it works.

  1. Visit your site
  2. Click the “lock” icon in the address bar, then Site settings
  3. Click Clear data
  4. Allow the page to refresh.

Log back in and test to see if this fixed the issue. If not, you may want to try clearing cache/browsing data for “all time” in Settings --> History --> Clear browsing data.

Hi

Clearing data seemed to have worked.

Thanks so much :slight_smile:
