[SOLVED] Something went wrong connecting rewards account

Hello,

when using the “Connect account” button in the “brave://rewards” page, I enter my uphold.com credentials but I get the following message:

Something went wrong

We weren’t able to complete your request. Please try again, and contact support if the problem persists.

I got this message yesterday and today, so the problem persist.

I have a verified account on uphold.com and their site seems to work fine for me.
I already tried resetting my rewards settings.

I’m on
Version 1.66.115 Chromium: 125.0.6422.112 (Official Build) (arm64)
, MacOS Apple Silicon.

My custodian is Uphold.

I’m in a supported region (Switzerland).

Any hints on how to troubleshoot that?

Solution: I went through 2FA setup and identity verification. After both were setup I’ve been able to connect the account.
