SOLVED: Brave does not open t.co URL shortener links

For example, if I try to open a link from a Twitter page (in someone’s bio), Twitter tries to redirect me to the original link through the t.co shortener, but I get an error (see attachments). I don’t know what to do. It works fine on every other browser. I already turned off every extensions but it made no difference.

This went unanswered in Sep 2024 and is still an issue.

Figured out a solution:

  1. Go to brave://settings/security?search=secure+dns
  2. Under Select DNS provider, change from the OS Default (the one that worked for me was NextDNS).
