Since the latest update i am unable to scroll the bottom tab bar using swipe gestures

Description of the issue:
Android version. Please help. Since the latest update i am unable to scroll the bottom tab bar using swipe gestures (im using tab groups and tab grid flags).
Trying to do this makes browser switch tabs for some reason. Unbelievably useful feature (no).
Its actually still possible to scroll the tab bar, the gesture is still there but it does not work most of the time and i have to tap and hold tab bar for several seconds for this.
If theres a way to disable this “feature” i would be very grateful. If it includes removing the new duet bottom bar im fine with it although i didn’t find the corresponding duet flag in chrome://flags

How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. enable tab grid and tab group flags in chrome://flags
  2. open many tabs inside a tab group
  3. ???

Expected result:
Tab bar scrolling.
Tab switching instead
