Sidebar Shortcuts

I feel it would be cool if the web shortcuts in the sidebar, open in a small panel (similar to Leo AI chat), instead of in the current tab.

This would allow, lets say a quick search or speedtest without leaving the current page, which I think would be nice.

This is much like in the Opera and Vivaldi Browsers.

For now, it just serves the same purpose as Bookmarks, and I feel it is repetitive.

User Simon Hong on Github is working really hard on this! Check out my post on Brave community regarding this, he’s actively working on it. If you go through my entire article, you’ll see updates on the feature (constantly adding more as the time goes)

(Scroll down or use the links for updates, will stop proving updates here when Brave officially releases this to stable build, which will make me extremely excited at the time) The Brave browser’s sidebar is impressive, but I wish it could open in a split view, similar to Edge’s setup, instead of launching as a full window, which can be frustrating. A huge thanks to Simon Hong on GitHub for his contributions—without him, this feature wouldn’t be possible. I’ve wanted something like this for year…
