One improvement that could be made is to adjust the sidebar shortcuts, something similar to Opera GX. Because BRAVE sidebar doesn’t work when adding hotkeys. Include a shortcut to open/close the sidebar, and continue with the shortcut to choose the side where the bar is located.

You can open/close the sidebar with Ctrl + B (Cmd + B on macOS). You can choose which side of the screen the sidebar appears by going to Settings --> Appearance --> Sidebar:
