Set custom search engine in mobile

Troubleshooting technical issues is much easier when both the user and support agent practice clear communication. For this reason, we have provided the template below for you to fill out with information about your issue. Please provide as much detail as possible so we can most efficiently resolve your problem.

Description of the issue: How do I set a custom search engine in the mobile browser? I want to use Swiss Cows but there is no option to do so.

How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. Go to settings:search engines; no option to add a custom one

Expected result: There would be a custom option like on the desktop browser

Brave Version( check About Brave): 1.57.60

Mobile Device details Galaxy Note10

Additional Information:

Hey. We can’t add the engine this way yet.

So to add any engine, just enter the Search engine URL.
For example I used Ecosia
Entered ‘https://www.ecosia.org/’ then made a search using Ecosia engine → now go to settings → Search engines → you’ll see the Search engine under recently visited

I’ve tried that, but it’s not showing up. The same two websites (pine street not even being a search engine) are all that keep showing up under “recently visited”, I can’t get it to refresh or update to a latest used search engine. I’ve attached a screenshot.
