Send to mobile device macOS > iOS

Hello,

I have a recurrent problem to send my current web page on desktop to a mobile device.

Description of the issue:
The “send to your devices” option appears in my address bar. But when I click on it, “Sending in progress” is displayed in the address bar but nothing happens on the mobile device.
However, I did the test with 2 Brave profiles, each synchronized with a different mobile device: an iPhone and an iPad.
Each time, I leave the mobile browser on iPad or iPhone open, but nothing happen.

Reproduces how often:
Every time

Brave Version(See the About Brave page in the main menu):
Version 1.43.89

Type of devices currently running on the Sync chain in question:

  • Profile 1 : MacBook Pro (Intel - OS 12.5.1) + iPhone XS (OS 15.6.1)
  • Profile 2 : MacBook Pro (Intel - OS 12.5.1) + iPad Air 4 (OS 15.6)

Additional informations
The “handoff” icon of Brave appears in my dock for the iPhone (that uses the same iCloud account as my MacBook). When I click on the icon, the current webpage displayed on my iPhone is opening in my desktop browser.

if the devices can be synchronized using a different profile, try opening your main profile in private or guest mode to see if you are able to send your tabs. If you can, try disabling your extensions to see if this is the cause of the issue.

You can open a Guest Window by going to Main menu --> Open Guest window:

  1. On your computer, open Brave.
  2. At the top right, click Menu → More tools → Extensions.
  3. On to the extension you want to remove, click Remove.
  4. Confirm by clicking Remove.
