Scrolling Down Linkedin Feed freezes eventually

hello,

I’ve noticed that when you scroll down at the very bottom of linkedin’s feed, the interface gets stuck. Granted it’s quite a bit of scrolling, but it reaches a point where it says “Load More Posts from Feed”, and that button is not working, then eventually the tab gets stuck and stops loading. This happens on Brave.

Wasn’t happening a little while back. Not sure is linkedin’s or brave’s issue. I’ve just let Linkedin know as well.

I’ve already cleaned all cookies, logged out etc,

Just wanted to let you know, perhaps let Brave devs know.

OS Win 10 Pro 64x
Brave Version Version 1.66.118 Chromium: 125.0.6422.147 (Official Build) (64-bit)

Cheers

@gabgab,
Thanks for reporting.
I have been scrolling Linkedin for a very long time now and am not encountering the issue. I know you said it takes quite a bit of scrolling but are we talking about like…an hours worth of scrolling? Wondering if I just haven’t gone long enough.

Additionally, you stated that it happens in Brave but have you tested it in other browsers as well?

hi there,

on the desktop it starts just after scrolling a bit, not like an hour, more like 10-30 seconds really, if you exaggerate it and keep pressing page down, for like 10 seconds, then it freezes.

On my laptop however, same brave browser, doesn’t seem to happen. Wonder if it has to do with the Graphics Card, Desktop has a NVIDIA RTX 4070, on my laptop just an integrated Iris XE.

As for other browsers, i just tried in Edge on my Desktop PC and it’s NOT hanging/NOT freezin’… so the plot thickens.

cheers!

I have just tested with an incognito window on Brave/Desktop and is not crashing. so could be plugins related…

Sorry i talked too soon, haha crashed there as well.

OK i tested one more time

Now on the laptop, i just tested it again: it also crashed

With HW Acceleration enabled?

good morning

Yeah HW acceleration enabled.

Just noticed Brave got updated today to Version 1.67.115 Chromium: 126.0.6478.56 (Official Build) (64-bit)

But either way:

  • still crashing with new version
  • still crashing with HW off

there’s some new rounded bookmark edges in this new release, preferred the square ones.

Anyway, still the same crashes.

Gabrio

@gabgab,
And just to confirm, disabling Graphics Acceleration does not resolve the issue?

hi,

yes, that is correct.
