Rumble videos slow to load

Description of the issue:
For several months now all Rumble videos load very slowly on Windows & MacBook machines. Videos load normally on BitChute or YouTube as they used to on Rumble.

Steps to Reproduce (add as many as necessary): 1. 2. 3.

  1. Bring up Rumble.com
  2. Pick a video
  3. You should see “Loading…” for several seconds before the video is playable.

Actual Result (gifs and screenshots are welcome!):

Expected result:
Video should load immediately as it does on other video sharing platforms like YouTube, BitChute & Brighteon.

Reproduces how often:
This happens all the time for the last several months and I’ve tried all the suggestions to resolve the issue to no avail.

Windows 10 21H2
MacBook MacOS Catalina 10.15.7

That figures. No, I’m not using a VPN or secureDNS. Something changed with the Brave Browser several months ago as it used to work fine until then. I haven’t changed anything on either PC (Win 10 or MacBook) and the issue began on both machines at the same time so I have no idea what could have caused it and I was hoping someone else experienced this problem and found a resolution.

I have looked into this problem a bit further. If you play the rumble link/video in question on another browser, you will see that there is a 5 second ad, then a skip button appears, If you don’t press the skip button, the add takes (at least) another 10 seconds to auto close. Brave browser is blocking the ad, hence the 15 second delay before the video plays. My suggestion:
If Brave are going to block the ad, can they trigger the auto close after 5 seconds?
