Exact same issue for me (Windows 10 / brave last version).

Strange, I have SpeedReader enabled so Reader mode activates for those articles, but no crash.

Windows 10, same Brave version. There may be something different between us that’s triggering the issue in your case.

Is anything set in brave://flags on your side? (Anything with a non-default setting will be sorted to the top, and will have a blue dot next to it.)

Hi @Tiger3468 @erwannmag can you please go to brave://crashes and

  • if you have automatic crash reporting is enabled (Settings --> Privacy/Security --> Automatically send diagnostic reports), please send in a DM with the crash report ID
  • If Automatically send diagnostic reports is not enabled, ensure you click Send on these crash reports listed on the page, then in a DM send the crash report ID

Thank you.

Hi @steeven,

Crash reports aren’t even generated when it crashed, I checked the folder it’s empty.

Hi @JimB1, I’ve reset all the flags to default just in case, still crashes

Regarding the known issue, my local profile isn’t fr-CA but is fr-FR.

My guess the issue could come from a French character not compatible with this version of Speedreader.

Latest update seems to have fix the issue. Marking Thread as resolved.
