Questions on New Brave Wallet

New to this brave browser and i am confused by the wallet selections as well.

there are:

  1. Imported metamask option which could be the default wallet for receiving BAT? Transfering BAT out may be a bad decision since its on ETH blockchain with their high gas fees?
  2. The new Brave wallet which will receive the BAT ? Can transfer BAT directly out but also suffer from ETH gas fee?
  3. Uphold/Gemini linked wallet instead of the new wallet and BAT will be credited to them? Offsetting BAT to fiat seems to be a better approach via this option…

The wallet is not for receiving BAT from rewards right now, but you could transfer it from Uphold if you’d like.

Yes the gas fees on Ethereum are very high so I agree it’s probably not best to do that.

The wallet is mainly for being a self custody wallet to hold your cryptocurrencies in general and for interacting with Dapps.

exactly eth have very high fees and thats why i am unable to move my bat

Ohh thats weird for their native wallet to not be able to store their own token…

How about if i linked to my metamask? Will i be able to receive the BAT directly into that account?

The new native wallet does store BAT, just not vBAT rewards directly without first going through an exchange.

This will help explain things @devonchia

The new native wallet does store BAT, just not vBAT rewards directly without first going through an exchange.
BUT WE WANT THEM TO GO DIRECTLY

thanks for the article @brian. Can i have 1 Gemini account to hold multiple accounts?

@Suhbz it stated in the article that they need a medium to convert and send the vBAT.
