PWA breaks: either after update, or a few days after creation

Description of the issue: PWAs for sites break after update.
How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. Create a PWA, “install” from URL bar, or hamburger menu. (For GMail, Fastmail, GMaps)
  2. Update Brave
  3. Notice it’s broken

Expected result:
PWA continues to work. Or brave instance loads a page reporting an error

Brave Version( check About Brave): 1.56.14 Chromium: 115.0.5790.114 (Official Build) (64-bit)

Additional Information:
These seem related enough in observable symptoms to be worth mentioning.

Sweet, I posted this at or before version 115, and now on version 116, checked at $ navigator.appVersion in the PWA’s console, both PWAs I use upgraded seamlessly.
