PWA issue after update

Although my issue is mostly resolved—I can open WhapsApp Web in browser, then launch the PWA from the URL/Awesome bar, although I still can’t open the PWA from the linux desktop shortcut—I’m posting this because, on discourse, I can’t compose a new topic while I have an existing draft. I’m now on 1.71.123 Chromium: 130.0.6723.116 (Official Build) (64-bit) .

Previously, I notice:

• Attempts to “Install [PWA Site name]” from browser URL-awesome bar – do not work: specifically the Install icon goes grey, but nothing happens.
  • I have had 2 separate versions installed.
    • One, the older, renders with just the Site icon (WhatsApp Web),
    • The other, renders with Site Icon and Brave icon overlayed in the lower right.

Current Version: 1.71.118 Chromium: 130.0.6723.70 (Official Build) (64-bit)

I have done 1 to 2 browser updates since it last worked.

PWAs not working after update

Description of the issue: PWAs are not working in macOS, v12.2.1 if tried to launch using spotlight. How can this issue be reproduced? Install latest brave browser beta version Install any PWA supporting website. Try to open from the app launcher. Problems with PWA of Whatsapp Web

Description of the issue: I installed Whatsapp Web PWA on a fresh Brave install and the PWA just doesn’t work but the website https://web.whatsapp.com seems to work completely fine. I even tried uninstalling and reinstalling the PWA but still facing the same issue. It just shows some random manifest or something like that in the PWA. Actually, neither the author of that post did search before posting since I post mine one day before him lol… But good to know that there’s a fix on the way =)

Updating to 1.35.104 breaks all PWAs

@TheGreighCanary, Just to make sure we’re on the same page here, you’re referring to PWAs correct? If so it appears we have an open issue for this: I’ve added your report to the thread as well for the developers to review.
